She's taught at Mills College, The Writers Grotto, Rooted & Written and Liminal because she believes that all voices deserve spaces to be heard. She earned her BA from Spelman College and her MFA from Mills College. She’s attended The Voices of Our Nations Foundation/VONA, completed a residency at the Vermont Studio Center and received a scholarship from The Fine Arts Works Center.
